Laura Stearn, founder of HY-Jean Corp. and creator of Pantzies, has had a  fascinating and varied career with experience in fashion design,  manufacturing, retail, fine art, styling, and television both in the U.S. and Europe.

Originally from Orange County, California, Laura moved to Los Angeles at age 17 to attend Parsons School of Design. At 19, she moved on her own to London for a summer before heading to Paris, France to complete the last two years of her Bachelors of Fine Arts at Parsons. There she graduated at top of her class and apprenticed alongside the world’s finest designers and tailors at Parisian couture houses such as Olivier Lapidus and worked independently for Fendi, Max Mara, Les Copains. After graduation Laura packed her bags and moved to Milan, Italy where she was hired as a designer by Blumarine. Soon after she went to work as the head designer for Anna Forti in Rome where she stayed for four years. During this time Laura also worked as an actress with well known Italian directors and held gallery showings of her own acrylic on canvas paintings.

In 1993, Laura returned home to Los Angeles to start her own fashion company Novecento, selling worldwide her high end collections to fine boutiques and department stores, like Nordstrom. Later in 1998 Laura moved her operations to Laguna Beach and opened her first gorgeous boutique on exclusive Forest Avenue under the name Novecento. Within a few years she opened her second boutique under the same name in prestigious Crystal Cove, Newport Coast.

In 2004 Laura sold both Novecento stores and worked and designed exclusively by appointment for her elite clientele. She then added the Haute Wheels Mobile Boutique to her business, serving her clients individually as well as organizing private in home fashion parties.

Laura has dressed and styled for top celebrities, such as Carmen Electra, Marla Maples Trump, Jillian Barberi, Sydney Penny, Cheryl Tiegs, and the five latest Housewives from the TV show The Real Housewives of Orange County, to name a few.

As well as designing, Laura is a fine artist showing and selling her paintings periodically and has performed in numerous videos, commercials, and on television as an actress or representing herself as fashion designer. She recently appeared on an episode of the Real Housewives of Orange County.

Unsatisfied with the lack of sophistication of feminine hygiene for a long time, Laura has been working on creating a quality cool, fun, and functional panty liner since 2003. After many years of creating, designing, testing, samples, business plans and patent writing, Pantzies was born! And the work doesn't stop there! Pantzies is also branching out to Daintzies, Sportzies, and Jeanzies in prints and solid colors! This will cover different types of styles, fabrics, and garment types to suit a variety of needs!
